I have a DC08 Purple/Lime model which is 6 and a half years old now. Would replacing the motor improve suction?

Hi Robert57, there's many ways to improve suction - have you tried emptying out the bin, cleaning the filters, or making sure the tubes are unblocked? If these parts aren't functioning properly, it will reduce suction, make the motor work harder and eventually wear it out.

According to Dyson, this motor will fit all models in the DC08 and DC08 TW ranges.
So the answer is yes.

Ho do I fit the motor?
Hi I believe the motor has gone on my Dyson DC 11 allergy it probably needs a new HEPA filter too. Do instructions for fitting come with the parts? I have removed most of the out housing but can't get to the motor itself
